FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

This is the most frequently asked question from potential clients. To make it simple, apps and websites have a number of working parts. From design, to development, to search engine optimization, there are many elements that are factored into making your product come to life. A basic 5 page website can cost $200 a page for a simple, quick website from a template. If you want a custom design on photoshop first and then code it into the platform of your choice, this depends on what platform you’re using (i.e. WordPress, Magento, Shopify, etc.), amount of time will always vary. Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing will typically follow these phases and will add more work to the project. All projects are unique and can be tailored to your needs. If you need help understanding how to price your website project,  please contact us.

Some logos are very easy to determine the cost. On a $100/hr rate, we can create a simple logo within 1-2 hours. There are more complex logos that require complex illustrations and other logos that require different color schemes or variations. These will acquire more time and costs but with more time, comes more attention. Brand Kits are very useful for corporate and enterprise sized companies because they help construct a brand identity for years to come. Our logo designs have varied throughout the years and cannot have a flat rate because everyones needs are different. Typically we will ask clients to provide us with a few logo examples, then we provide as many concepts as they are willing to pay for. After that, we revise the logo, and deliver a finalized logo or Brand Kit.

Apps can be tricky in that they may have more pieces to the puzzle than when you first imagined it. If it is a geo-located based app, we have to customize an API that is integrated with the app, and make sure that everything works good and fast. Another aspect of app development that is often misunderstood is whether you want the app for Apple, Android, or both. These, although very similar, can sometimes require different languages of code to work simultaneously. UX flowcharts are first drawn out to discover how the app will operate from user end to owner dashboard. After this, each screen must be designed with the proper brand guidelines that have been created or delivered. The app will then be coded into the framework, tested and the published. Each of these processes can be timely and will bring forth a number of questions but each will be answered as we create the app. The time that is allocated to all these services will be accounted for in the initial quote. To get a quote on an app, contact me and let’s discuss what package best suits you.

Our team is always traveling and at times we are not able to meet all of our clients in person. When we am working on 8 projects in one month, it is very difficult to meet our Los Angeles client at 6pm after my 5pm meeting with my New York client. Fortunately for everyone, we’ve made use of video and screen sharing applications such as Skype, Google Hangouts and Team Viewer to accommodate multiple meetings in one day. Most of our clients understand the importance of time, this is where screensharing saves time from parking, getting coffee, traffic, and other issues that arrive when meeting in person. Everyone has a job to do, and our goal is to streamline your work by taking care of your brand or digital platform so that you don’t have to waste your work time on it. We have had great success meeting with clients around the nation through remote meetings to help speed up the process and deliver awesome work.

All of our jobs have detailed proposals of the description of work and timelines. Our job proposals are very precise and we will never charge you for anything you don’t know about like I’ve heard other agencies do. Most projects between $500-$1,000 will most likely be an hourly rate of $100/hr. It may sound like alot, but we’ve built websites from templates in 4 hours, which saves clients money, time and the chance of getting cheated from an off-shore “developer” who you’ll barely be able to communicate with. Projects that are between the $1,000-$10,00 range will be on a 50%, 25%, 25% deposit system. This means that you will pay 50% of the total up front to secure our services, book us for the time it takes to complete your project, 25% upon a milestone, and the last 25% upon delivery. Projects over the $10,000 mark will be on a 10% or 20% system depending on project type, size, time and other things that have to be accounted for in the proposal.

We accept credit card, checks, PayPal, Venmo, Amazon Payments and Google Pay.

This will never happen. Most of our initial consultations over the phone or screen share are to determine what you are looking for and to see if we are a good fit. We have been working too long to disappoint someone with my work. Instead, we work with our clients in real time to make sure we are always aligned with their needs.

After we deliver our work, we always offer a monthly retainer to continue to catapult your brand or digital platform. We always work with our clients 30 days after delivery to make sure everything is running smoothly. In the past, we have also helped my clients interview and hire designers, developers, social media markers, photographer, videographers and other techies and creatives to ensure that our product will be taken care of with your business. Most clients come back to us because they understand that as returning clients, we offer discounted rates for continuing to work with us.

A website needs a domain, hosting and an SSL certificate. These are the things we need to make the website come to life. Before that, we need to take all the necessary steps to design, develop, strategize and launch your product. There are other things that you can benefit from such as purchasing certain plugins for your site, budgeting for PPC and advertisements that we can discuss in a consultation.

We began building websites in 2010, apps in 2018 and we have been designing as freelancers since 2004. Zeal Creative Group has built well over 500 websites and apps and worked on 700+/- existing websites. Please see our case studies to see some of our most happiest of clients.
